Street. Rex, mighty Mardi Gras Monarch, is
seen greeting his subjects as his float winds
its way through dense crowds of merry-
makers. Just two blocks back, the monarch
was toasted by the Mayor and given the keys
to the city. Three blocks farther on, he will
toast his queen at the Boston Club in ac-
cordance with the age-old custom.
