Back:
Louis Braille, a blind Frenchman born in 1809, at the
age of 15 developed the system of touch reading
which consists of embossed dots arranged in a six-
space cell and known as BRAILLE. By selecting one
or several dots in characteristic position or combina-
tion, 63 different characters can be formed. Look for
other cards which show the Braille alphabet,
numbers, whole words and part-word signs.
