THE wonderful laying rooster. The only functional hermaphro-
dite in the world of which there is any record.
Was raised on the Elmdale farm in Montville, and is kept by the
Department of Biology at the Maine State Experiment Station for
scientific investigation.
This bird has two tails, and had four legs until an accident made
the amputation of two necessary at the age of three months, and we
might add, also, that the bird is double inside.
