Built by public subscription, in 1859, this is said to be the oldest Episcopal Church in the state. A dark red, sturdy frame structure, it stands on the crest of a low hill at he north end o the town's main business street and was built after the camp had attained a decided air of permanence. It has survived several major fires that plagued the community in its early days. It is still in remarkably good condition and entirely serviceable. |
