| This covered bridge, now torn down, was at Horseshoe Bend, east of Alexander City. Ala. Horseshoe Bend National Military park includes the area where the bridge stood. World Guide to Covered Bridges lists the following information: bridge no. 62-01, built of Town type truss over the Tallapoosa River, 600 ft. long, had 4 spans and was located on Ala. highway 49. |
