| This covered bridge, one of many in Alabama is at Horseshoe Bend, east of Alexander City, Ala. Horseshoe Bend is the site of the battle where General Jackson's troops broke the power of the Creek Indian Nation. A monument commemorates this battle. It has just been made the State's first military park. |
