COPYRIGHT LONG ISLAND STATE PARK COMMISSION
JONES BEACH STATE PARK is one of
the State Parks under the jurisdiction of the
Long Island State Park Commission. It is
located between the Atlantic Ocean and
Great South Bay, 33 miles from New York
City. The major attractions are surf, pool JAZ
and still water bathing, boardwalks, pice so M
nicking, children's playgrounds, dining, danc-
ing, Pitch-Putt golf course and other out-
door games. It is connected to the mainland
by the Jones Beach State Parkway and is
easily reached by way of the Grand Central
Parkway and Northern and Southern State
Parkways.
