Marshfield was established in 1872, when the
first building was erected on the site of what
was to become a thriving lumber mill town. To-
day this city is the home of the largest hard-
wood plywood factory in the world. Other local
industries produce such varied items as brick
and concrete products, apiary supplies, cigars,
shoes, beds and bedding.
