THE ALBUQUERQUE POST OFFICE-now serves
more than 100,000 residents in the Rio Grande
Valley. The receipts of this office have in-
creased tremendously in the last few years and
are now totaling almost $1,000,000.00 (one
million dollars) annually; as against $398,-
000.00 in 1940. The FEDERAL BUILDING, ad-
joining, houses in total or part, many of the
65 Government Agencies now located in Albu-
querque
B. P. O. E. ELKS No. 461-with its large mem-
bership plays an important part in the fra-
ternal life of the city. Chartered in 1899, this
Lodge_plans a special Fiftieth Anniversary in
'49. Regular meetings are on the 2nd and 4th
Wednesdays.
