Born: Brooklyn, New York, September 23rd.
Educated: Dayton Heights and Vine Street Grammar
Schools, Hollywood, and Pacific Military Academy.
Hobbies: Song-writing and Football.
Early Experience: Mickey Rooney made his debut
at the age of eleven months with his parents in a
vaudeville act. Went into retirement after three
weeks, then resumed his career at the age of two.
Two years later was seen by a studio executive in
Will Morrissey's revue in New York, and was signed
to play the role of the midget in "Not to be Trusted."
This was followed by several other silent films. In
1935, M-G-M signed him up and brought him to
stardom. His latest pictures include "Stablemates,"
"Out West with the Hardys," and "The Adventures
of Huckleberry Finn."
