ST. ELIZABETH CONVENT
New Motherhouse and Novitiate of the Sisters of St.
Francis, Allegany, New York, opened in 1958. The
Community was founded in 1859 near this site. There
are over 1000 Sisters engaged in teaching and
nursing along the eastern seaboard and in Jamaica
and Brazil.
