THE OKLAHOMA A. AND M. STUDENT UNION
Completed in the early autumn of 1950, at a cost of
four and one half million dollars, the A and M Student
Union has been called the "tax payer's dream"-a build-
ing that pays for itself as it is used. The Union is one
hundred per cent self liquidating. This authentic ex
ample of Williamsburg architecture stands as one of the
most distinguished college Unions in the nation.
THE CHINESE LOUNGE - Blending pieces of ancient
craftsmanship with fabrics and designs of today, the O-
ental atmosphere of this lounge is delicately traced
the choice of colors and furnishings. From the modern
touches of vibrant, solid colors to the delicate handling
of wall prints and inlaid designs this atmosphere is one
of exciting eye appeal combined with lounging comfort.
Most of the modern furnishings were manufactured in
Grand Rapids and are the product of the country's lead-
ing designers.
The Chinese Lounge is used as an informal meeting
place for friendly conversations and visits-and for teas,
receptions, and social and music hours.
