The national forests in California in-
clude about 25,000,000 acres and, on
account of the wonders and beauty
of these forests and climatic condi-
tions, recreation is being more and
more sought in the forest areas. For
this reason the fire hazard is very great.
Careless campers and tourists cause a
large percentage of forest fires. The
loss and expense resulting from for-
est fires is a tax on everyone.
