This instrument is
the principal part of an exhibit set up
on the Lower Floor Museum to illus-
trate how time determinations are made.
An artificial star is seen to move across
the field of view; as it transits the
cross wires, the visitor may operate a
key which makes a record on a chrono-
graph connected with a clock rated to
keep star time.
