ADLER PLANETARIUM AND
ASTRONOMICAL MUSEUM
Chicago Park District
The sky-line of Chicago seen from the
Planetarium presents a spectacle of
great beauty. In the evening the many
lighted windows, flashing sign-boards,
and reflections in the lagoon create an
appearance of fairyland. From left to
right the prominent tall buildings are
the Board of Trade, Straus Building, the
spire of The Temple, the LaSalle-Wacker
surmounted by searchlights, the Wil-
loughby Tower, Pittsfield Building, Pure
Oil, Carbide and Carbon, Mather Tower,
333 North Michigan, the flood-lighted
white Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower,
and Medinah Athletic Club. The hori-
zontal streaks of light along the Outer
Drive are trails of moving automobile
lights.
