THE BEACON BUILDING, a
newspaper and office building
erected in 1910 by The Beacon Build-
ing Company at a cost including the
site of $400,000. In addition to the
space occupied by The Wichita Daily
Beacon and The Chamber of Com-
merce Association, the building has
over 250 offices.

The corner stone was laid March 8,
1910, by The Kansas Editorial Asso-
ciation, and the first tenants moved
into the building September 1. It is
thoroughly fire proof and modern in
every detail. .
