ZEMBO MOSQUE
Erected in 1930 by Zembo Temple of the Nobles of the
Mystic Shrine at a cost of $1,000,000, the Mosque affords
a meeting place for conventions, conferences, theatrical
events and athletic contests. Main auditorium seats
2500, with several smaller rooms. An impressive edifice
facing Italian Park, this Arabic structure forms a com-
pelling attraction adjacent to William Penn High School
and the Polyclinic Hospital.
