CAROLE LOMBARD. (Paramount.)
After studying dramatic art at Los Angeles, where she had lived
since her seventh birthday, Carole Lombard entered pictures
in 1927 with Edmund Lowe in "Marriage in Transit." A
motor car crash caused her to leave the screen for some time,
but the work of a plastic surgeon enabled her to resume a film
career. After she had appeared in "Me, Gangster," followed
by a number of other pictures, became firmly established as a
leading lady.
