FORDYCE BATHHOUSE
This Renaissance Revival Structure was built by Samuel W.
Fordyce in 1915. Fordyce came here suffering frome Civil War
wounds and made a remarkable recovery after taking the ho
water baths. It closed in 1962 due to economic conditions and
reopened in May 1989 as the National Park Visitor Center.i
