The Madrigal Singers of Illinois State University
annually signal the start of the pre-Christmas
season in Bloomington - Normal with their dinner
programs in the style of 16th century England. The
group, singing madrigals and Christmas carols
following a dinner typical of "merry olde Englande",
has become a favorite tradition among central
Illinois residents.
